We are seeking a Business Developer to expand our aircraft management portfolio in Europe. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and experienced professional, thriving in a competitive, high-growth environment and adept at navigating diverse cultural and business settings.
The Position
The Business Developer will be responsible for growing FLYINGGROUP’s commercial opportunities in aircraft management throughout Europe. The role involves extensive travel across our key markets and active representation of FLYINGGROUP at major industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Management Acquisition
- Source and acquire new aircraft within Europe.
- Build and manage a strong prospect pipeline.
- Prepare tailored proposals and budgets with internal input.
- Negotiate and close client contracts.
- Oversee onboarding and handover to Key Account Managers.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as first contact for new clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Represent FLYINGGROUP at industry events to expand networks.
Market Research
- Track European business aviation trends and competitors.
- Provide insights to optimise services and identify growth.
- Report updates to Director of Sales on markets and pipeline.
CRM Management
- Maintain accurate CRM data on leads, contracts, and clients.
- Monitor pipeline health to support decisions.
Secondary Accountabilities
- Support charter department with lead transfers.
- Assist Director of Sales and senior management with reports/projects.
Person Specification
Education, Experience & Competencies:
- Degree in a commercial program.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant commercial experience.
- Background in business aviation preferred, private banking, or luxury services will also be considered.
- Demonstrated success in business development and expanding client portfolios.
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and corporate clients in Europe is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (mandatory); proficiency in French, Dutch, German, or another European language is highly advantageous.
- Aviation awareness and sound geographical knowledge of European markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Resilient under pressure, with strong prioritisation and organisational abilities.
- A natural relationship builder with an entrepreneurial mindset.
