Hyperion Aviation, a premium aircraft management and charter company with a fleet of 17 aircraft, is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Head of Crew Training to join our management team in Malta. This role also includes serving as the Nominated Person Crew Training (NPCT) to the Authority.

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional with a TRI rating (preferably on one of our fleet types), strong leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset. Previous Postholder experience and Corporate/VIP operational expertise are strong advantages.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Accountable Manager, you will strategically lead Hyperion’s crew training portfolio while ensuring compliance with EASA and TMCAD regulations. This is a flying position, though the primary focus is the administrative and managerial oversight of crew training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with EU aviation regulations (EC No 2018/1139 & EC No. 965/2012).Manage the performance and regulatory compliance of the Crew Training department.
  • Oversee training programs and ensure their relevance to operational needs.
  • Lead and support a team of Training Administrators.
  • Collaborate closely with Flight Operations, Compliance, Safety, HR, and Finance teams.
  • Conduct pilot selection, training oversight, and subcontractor compliance checks.
  • Liaise with TMCAD and participate in inspections, audits, and safety investigations.
  • Monitor training quality, analyse feedback, and promote a strong safety culture.

Minimum Requirements & Attributes

  • Valid EASA Part-FCL ATPL holder with 5,000+ hours PIC on CS25 category aircraft.
  • TRI qualification required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ aviation industry experience (2 years in a relevant position).
  • Proven leadership and management skills, preferably in a comparable organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of EU aviation regulations and operational manuals.
  • Previous Postholder/NPCT experience (preferred).
  • Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or Business (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Eligible to live and work in Europe.
